Second edition. Small demy 8vo., pp [iv], 467, [i] blank, sprinkled edges. Old full brown calf archivally restored. Fore-corners and hinges strengthened. Label repositioned as the binder had originally labelled the work upside down. Endapers a little browned, bookplate. A very good and sound copy. Intended as a refutation of Nathaniel Hooke's book An Account of the Conduct of the Dowager Duchess of Marloborougfh, from her First Coming to Court, to the Year 1710 written from the Duchess's dictation.
