Third edition, with considerable additions. Large post 4to., 27 cms, pp xii, 516. Old full brown calf (worn on fore-corners), professionally rebacked recently with scarlet letter-piece gilt, blind ruled compartments to backstrip. With an early neat signature of J Campbell Lin: Inn at outer top margin of title-page and an old, and rather faint, circular stamp of Doncaster Borough Free Library 1869 just below and touching one letter of the title. Apparently issued without half-title. ESTC T80835. "Mr. Barrington, in his Observations, has contributed very much to the elucidation of the more ancient laws of England, by introducing historical illustrations of the times during which the statutes were enacted.
