Beautiful chromolithograph title-page heightened in gold, pp vii, [i] blank, main title printed in red and black, 8 introduction; 6 description of Norbury Church, Derbyshire, ground plan (foxed), a view, an elevation (foxed), 2 fine tissue-guarded colour plates of the windows, interior of the chancel (lightly spotted), interior view, stonework details, and a further 2 fine coloured plates of the glass; pp 16 description of Lambley Church, Nottinghamshire and with a handsome ground plan (lightly spotted), a fine lithograph of the S.E. view, south elevation (some pale spotting), 6 plates of architectural details and an interior view; pp 23, [1] blank description of Castle Rising Church, Norfolk, a fine plan, a very handsome plate of the church from the South West and 7 other handsome plates; pp 12 Chaddesley-Corbet Church, Worcestershire, with a fine ground plan, a fine view (spotted in margin), and 8 other plates (some light spotting); pp 16 history and description of Long-Ashton Church, Somersetshire, with a handsome ground plan (lightly spotted), a beautiful lithographic view, 6 other plates, and 2 fine coloured lithographs, heightened in gold, of screen details; pp 4 Rudford Church, Gloucestershire, with a suite of 6 plates of which 2 are coloured illustrating tiles; pp 5 Ruskington Church, Lincolnshire, 5 plates, pp [2] colophon leaf. Running titles and secondary drop titles printed in scarlet. Twentieth century brown cloth with morocco letter-piece gilt, pale cream endpapers. All-in-all a very good copy. Scarce.
