Small folio, 31 cm, pp [iv], xii, [iv] 'The Names of the Subscribers', 422 and including a handsome copper-plate portrait frontispiece of the author as Chancellor of England and Chancellor of the University of Oxford; pp [viii] portrait frontispiece, title & dedication, 459,  blank and pp [x] including the frontispiece portrait, title & imprimatur leaf & dedication, 445,  blank,  index in two columns,  blank. Contemporary dark brown calf decorated with blind fillets, rules and fleurons. Sympathetically rebacked at some time with red letter-pieces and five raised bands. Bookplates of Denis Murphy on upper paste-downs.
