Original blind blocked pebble cloth, neatly rebacked in buckram, gilt titling, new tinted endapers laid-in. A handful of small oval discrete library stamps in page margins. Very good copies of the scarce original printing. Two volumes - volume I 1532-1543, volume II 1543-1590. READ 4926. 'Papers originally in the archives of the Council of the North, now in B.M. Consist chiefly of diplomatic correspondence between Engalnd and Scotland. Papers printed in full. Valuable.'
