Original navy blue buckram gilt recased to accommodate additions (a little bruised on extremities). Volume 3 has new cloth sides with original backstrip neatly laid down. A very good copy. Three volumes. This is the copy used by A. Hyatt King as the basis for the revised edition. There is a note in the editor's hand on front free endpaper of volume I 'Rebound 1965, after use as copy, prepared by M.C. and A. H. K, for the revised edition'.All three volumes have extensive editorial notes in manuscript, tipped-in slips of the texts of 'new' letters and numerous corrections and stylistic changes for the printers. 'Here suffice it to say that if you want to experience more than the brief excerpts offered by most books about Mozart, then you should go straight to the source.
